Programs that Promote the Power of Undies

Helping little humans back to their day with dignity, dots, squiggles, and stripes!

Clean underwear is an easily overlooked essential that can offer immediate physical and emotional relief. Learn how we’re working to bring more pairs to more children.

our core program: the week’s share

Our Week’s Share program makes sure no child’s potential, comfort, or confidence is compromised by a lack of clean underwear—and we always like to make sure those undies are fun and fitting for their wearers. (That means no UFE logos and no tightie whities!)

We serve as clean undie conduits, equipping children's social service agencies with boxfuls of 7-pair bags (enough for a full week) that they then distribute to kids and teens through outreach and events. Whether it’s from a Rainbow Room with a CPS caseworker or at a back to school stock up with family, every child receives a week’s worth of clean underwear, so they can head out each day fresh and focused.

our distribution partners

Children served through our trusted partners each receive a seven-day supply of new underwear.

Getting the Basics:

When children are removed from dangerous situations, they bring nothing with them. Social workers take children to Rainbow Rooms to “shop” for clothing and other basic needs.

Back-to-School Events:

Each summer, CPS beneficiaries receive items needed for focused learning, be they backpacks or books or—you guessed it—clean undies.

Public School Homeless Departments

Did you know every school district in America has a federally mandated Homeless Department? They provide resources to students without a permanent address, like children in temporary shelters or teenagers crashing at a friend’s place.

Undies Aware

I'm Interested

The power of undies to give back to Houston.

Central to our mission of providing kids undies is providing our local community with a lifelong opportunity to make philanthropy a part of their lives. We host undies drives at our Houston headquarters, where kids and families pack all the underwear that will be distributed to other Houston children—around 205,000 pair!—and learn about meaningful ways we can give back to others, beginning with this basic but universal need for undies.

WHEN: We can't wait to see you again in 2021. Stay tuned!

Disaster Relief Distribution

Disaster Care

Donate Money

The power of undies to get families back on their feet.

When hurricanes, floods, fires, or other natural disasters strike, we provide partner organizations with underwear to distribute to children and families in dire need of aid. Clean underwear is an easily-overlooked essential that can offer immediate physical and emotional relief.

WHEN: A green alert bar will appear at the top of our website when we are actively distributing undies or collecting donations for disaster relief efforts.

While we’re eager to help everyone, we’ve learned we’re more effective when we focus on just a few groups in need.
  • Elementary and middle school nurses in districts where more than 50% of the students live below the poverty line
  • Nonprofit organizations that serve kids preschool through middle school
  • Social service organizations that exclusively serve disadvantaged students, with a focus on education
  • Programs that serve kids in the Child Protective Services (CPS) system
  • Kids in residential programs
  • Women’s shelters
  • Crisis intervention centers
  • Organizations without a 501c3 designation
  • Individuals, for any purpose
  • Adults (except during disaster relief efforts)
  • Homeless centers/shelters
  • Churches or religious organizations
  • Private schools
  • High schools
